Pain Management
A new modality that combines the principles of acupuncture, massage, electro therapy and physical therapy that helps many patients with chronic pain to live a normal life again.
Bruce Hocking, a Master Acupuncturist Physician developed this therapy to alleviate chronic muscle and soft-tissue pain. This modality is called ETPS or Electro Therapeutic Point Stimulation. The treatment uses a device called a Stim-Pro to help combine the principles of acupuncture, massage, electro-therapy and physical therapy. With this, an increasing number of therapists report remarkable success.
Bruce Hocking did not invent the Stim-Pro device - one of many different brands on the market - which attempts to relieve pain by delivering a mild electric direct current to the points on the body. However in the early 90's Bruce Hocking helped the manufacturer of Stim-Pro to fulfill his specific therapeutic needs. It is per Bruce Hocking the only portable electro-therapy device that utilizes direct current, which he feels is superior to alternating current in toning and sedating the muscle.
Bruce Hocking has trained 10,000 Physicians and Therapists on ETPS. As a result, ETPS is making inroads as a solution for chronic back and neck pain, migraines, carpel tunnel, menstrual cramps and fibromyalgia - a musculoskeletal pain disorder related to chronic fatigue that effects 1% to 2% of the US population.
Chronic pain affects an estimated 80 million Americans, according to the American Academy of Pain management. A group of practitioners specializing in alleviating pain and it's side effects, including marital and family problems, sleeping difficulties, depression, fatigue and weight gain have spawned the evolution of a huge industry by using modalities like allopathic and alternative treatments for pain, including acupuncture, chiropractic and massage. In the United States alone, conventional medical treatments just for pain constitute a multi-billion-dollar industry.
And here is Hocking with ETPS promising dramatic results after only one or two 10-minute office sessions. And all with the help of a device that sends out a low direct current into the body tissue.
We at Advanced Healing Therapies make use of this device as often as possible and have had excellent results. For more information or treatment plans please contact Anke Cacciola, John Neumann or Joe Quarto. All three Therapists are trained by Bruce Hocking to make the best use of this device.
